If you don't dress in your cutest fall attire, wear adorable booties, visit a pumpkin patch, and take 50 versions of the same picture... is it even Fall?
I had the best day celebrating the beginning of Fall with my man at Apple Hill in Northern California. Despite living here for 3+ years, neither of us had ever been, but we've always heard so many great things! I'd say it's worth the hype. I just recommend planning ahead of time so you know where you want to visit since there are 50+ orchards, wineries, and farms that are all apart of the Apple Hill area.
We started the day with a slight detour, that was totally planned since last weekend, to a local gluten free donut & ice cream shop that just opened for business a few weeks ago! I already planned for this incredible treat meal well ahead of time, so I went all out. I got a chocolate sprinkles donut, a cinnamon sugar donut, a scoop of vegan & gluten free cookie dough ice cream (it's been years since I've been able to eat any of this stuff fresh, so this was so incredible it genuinely almost brought me to tears #glutenfreelife), and my signature chai latte with almond milk. Honestly, everything was a 10/10. I was so flippin' pleased.
After that, we headed straight to Apple Hill! The goal was just to check it out, try some fresh apple cider, and get some cute Fall pictures, and we did just that! Unfortunately, not many people were wearing face masks and it was pretty busy, so we didn't stick around after we got the vibe of both of the orchards we visited. Regardless though, it was adorable and totally worth the trip! Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the day:
We didn't eat anything while we were there and it was quite a long drive back home, so as you can imagine, we were pretty dang hungry! If you read my blog from yesterday, you'd know about my not-so-guilty pleasure - potatoes in any & every form, but especially french fries. We knew we wanted to go all out with our last treat meal of the week, so we got Five Guys burgers & fries. I got mine wrapped in lettuce, of course, and we split some delicious fries. It was delicious and totally hit the spot! What an incredible treat day! Now I am completely fulfilled and will be held over until next weekend, and I feel pretty dang good after my treats today.
If you didn't read yesterday's blog post, make sure you go back and read about the importance of scheduling your treat meals or days into your diet plan. It will genuinely help you reach your goals, and if you don't schedule these in, the lack of maintainability could be your downfall. Get rid of the guilt and get rid of the risk of falling off track!
To sum it all up, I had an amazing weekend, and I really hope you did too! Tomorrow is the start of a new week full of opportunity. If you need a reset, take the chance today to make that happen. For me, I wasn't quite on track with my workouts. Nutrition was great, keeping track of my journey via blog posts was great, skin care was great, but business and fitness were so-so. I really want to prioritize these 2 goals this week, while also maintaining my dedication to the rest.
So to do this, I am getting up at 6am tomorrow! My sunrise alarm is set, my blog post is about to be done, my house is clean, my lunch has been prepped, and I have a great plan to start off my Monday and ensure high productivity from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep. I hope you have an incredible start to this new week, and I'll see you back here tomorrow!
Thank you for being you & thank you for being here,
